Why you'll love it
The plant almost every Indian home has had at some point, and for good reason — it grows in water or soil, roots from a cutting, and keeps going. The variegated one is prettier than the plain green.

Order a custom piece Or see it built into a gift →Yes. A cutting will root in a jar of water and keep going there indefinitely, which is why it is the plant people pass between houses. Change the water every couple of weeks. Growth is slower in water than in soil.
Not enough light. The white and cream markings need bright indirect light to hold; in deep shade the plant reverts to plain green to survive. Move it somewhere brighter and new growth usually comes back marked.
